Rain Rain Go away!!!

Well Its the bank holiday Weekend and it hasn’t stopped raining allllll day hope it stops for Sunday . Although very good for the allotment I’m very much a fair weather gardener…..

Plum Wine

Started my plum wine last night using the C.J Berry Recipe with a little help from one of the old boys off the allotment, I had been given 20ish Demijohns 1gal and 1/2 Gal last year, which was brilliant. I mentioned to the old bot who gave me them that I had just put on a plum wine from the C.J Berry Book, to which he advised I add barley to help give it some body. I went to the Home Brew centre got a bag of flaked barley crushed and added it to the mix. leaving with the pectic enzyme and will clear and add yeast tomorrow hoping it turns out good.

Introducing the Girls

I will get around to introducing the girls all of them the chickens and the ducks, We have a mixture of Hens we’ve bought as point of lay to hens we’ve bought as chicks to Ex battery hens.
